A far country lives in my dreams,
as it once did in my hopes,
blossoming, flowing, green and beautiful.
I saw it once, heard the trees,
then it disappeared into silhouetted sunset...
Night fell like a raven swoops,
Stars failed to shine through the masking clouds.
All I sought in the dimmest light
was something to shatter my porcelain skin
I keep running down this dead-end road,
because at least it has and end.
